There's something so romantic about weddings that take place along the oceanside on a rainy, moody spring day. Angie + Nick's was one of them!Read More
Many of us consider our dogs part of our family. My husband and I certainly feel this way. Our two pups, Hank and Pete, are our "fur babies" and mean the world to us so we decided to incorporate them into our wedding. We took their temperaments into consideration before deciding their role and ultimately chose to have them accompany us into our reception. Some couples choose to give them larger roles such as best man, ring bearer or flower dog. If you're considering incorporating your pup into the wedding here are some helpful tips: 1. Consider your dogs's temperament before deciding on the role they will have in your wedding. Is your dog good around people and crowds? It's unfair to your pup to give him or her a role they can't be expected to execute properly.
2. Confirm with the venue that your dog is allowed on the premise and ensure all the staff know they will be there.
3. If your dog will be wearing a new collar or outfit put it on them prior to the wedding day so they can become accustomed to it.
4. Designate a family member to look after your dog on your wedding day. This will take the stress off of you. They'll need to feed, water and walk them prior to their debut.
Yesterday I attended the Inspirations, Sunshine Coast Wedding Fair in Sechelt. It was a wonderful show put together by Melissa and her team at Coastal Weddings and Events - huge shout out to them! I had a wonderful time meeting many lovely people and am looking forward to all the opportunities that lie ahead. Now a bit about my rustic vintage table setup. I had a great time crafting most of it myself, including the kraft paper and jute pillow boxes. This took countless hours but I loved every minute of it! Should you ever want DIY favours and don't have the time then I'm your gal!
